On 19 April 2011, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd (TCIT) successfully held a ceremony of welcoming the COSCO TIAN SHENG HE - the first Cosco vessel at TCIT. This is the vessel of the SJX (Singapore & Japan Express) service. Her route consists of 11 ports including: Port Kelang (Sat/Sun) – Singapore (Sun/Sun) – Cai Mep (Tue/Wed) – Yantian (Fri/Fri) – Osaka (Mon/Mon) – Tokyo (Tue/Wed) – Long Beach (Fri/Sun) – Oakland (Mon/Mon) – Tokyo (Fri/Fri) – Osaka(Sat/Sat) – Hong Kong(Tue/Wed) – Port Kelang (Sat/Sun). With this service, Mother Vessel weekly berths on Tuesday at 12:00 pm and departs on Wednesday at 5:00 am. COSCO Shipping Lines is the biggest line in China and at the top ten of the world.
On 29 April 2011, TCIT had the pleasure to receive another big vessel namely YM MARCH 069A/B of YangMing Shipping Lines. This is also the first vessel of AW5 (Asia – Us East Coast Service Loop – 5). Her route includes 11 ports: Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Suez – New York – Norfolk – Boston – Suez – Singapore – Kaohsiung. She berthed at 8:00 am and departed at 2:00 pm on 29 April 2011. YANG MING Lines is one of the world-class lines about transport service from Ho Chi Minh City to America and Canada.
Along with MOL, three out of four shipping lines from CKYH Alliance, including: COSCO, YANGMING and HANJIN have deployed their vessels at TCIT, which has increased the number of mother vessel up to 5 per week. In April, the net productivity was over 56 moves /hour and port stay Productivity was 41.23 moves /hour. TCIT is improving and enhancing service quality to achieve handling productivity of 70 moves/hour in the near future.
