In September, Tan Cang - Cat Lai Terminal accommodated 243 vessels. Terminal A received 109 vessels and Terminal B received 134 Vessels. Container throughput in September slightly deacreased. Net productivity reached 54.8 cont/vh and Portstay one was 46.9 cont/vh. The Maximum net and port-stay productivity was 77.6 cont/vh and 68.7cont/vh respectively (those reached with MSC Alpana V.81034R).
In September 2010, Operation Centre and relating parties made good arrangement and performance of the terminal operation activities, especially on the National days of September 2nd. The service quality was maintained those days and met the expectation of the shipping lines and customers. The Operation Centre, Newport Pilot and Habor Department were in good co-operation with shipping lines/ agents in term of making reasonable and suitable berthing arrangement and adjustment so as to shorten the port stay and control the ETA/ETD strictly. The capability of receiving the new vessels and services as per the requests of the shipping lines has been increased. Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal as well as other premises of SNP continue the campaign “ 03 ‘No’s to customers’ tips”. “Professional and Committed” is the criteria for all staff of SNP. The communicative culture and attitude of the staff to the customers has been focussed and improved. The area where the customers often come has been decorated and better equipped. The port co-operated with customs in maintaining the performance of the X-ray inspection machine, in making the adjustment and addition to the inspection procedures at the sea port border gate in accordance with the Document No 9269 as well as installing the camera to supervise the customs at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal as well as organizing the Meeting with shipping lines, forwarders on the deployment of the E-manifest
