On Sept 14th 2012, at the Meeting hall of Tan Cang Song Than ICD, the Signing ceremony on the service quality commitment between APL Logistics (APLL) and Tan Cang- Song Than ICD was solemnly held.

Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) is a joint venture by Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and three leading shipping lines: Hanjin Shipping (HJS), Mitsui O. S. K. Lines (MOL) and Wan Hai Lines (WHL).

On the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relation of Vietnam – Cambodia, the Economic Department of the Ministry of Defense and the Trade Promotion Department of Ministry of Industry & Commerce of Vietnam has coordinated with the Trade Promotion Department of Ministry of Trade of Cambodia organized the "Vietnam –Cambodia international Trade Fair 2012” at Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia from 21 Sept to 25 Sept 2012.

On 27/08/2012, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) welcomed delegation of Canadian Ministry led by the honourable Edward Fast - Minister of International trade and Minister for the Asia-pacific gateway to visit Tan Cang – Cat Lai terminal.

On 7 August 2012, Tan Cang - Long Binh ICD JSC held the 5th Anniversary ceremony, which remarks the process of establishment and development of the biggest ICD in the Southern Focal Economic Area.

On August 8th 2012, Tan Cang- Cai Mep International Terminal ( TCIT) solemnly organized the ceremony of receiving the first vessel of SVS service at TCIT- Vessel MOL Partner

The container throughput in the ports of Ho Chi Minh City in the first 7 months of 2012 was approximately 2.45 million TEUs increased- a year on year increase of 7.37%, includingthe import and export container volume of over 1.8 million TEUs, up to 5.72% over the same period last year
