Understanding the demands of the market and customers, Tan Cang Logistics has, in an attempt to better serve the needs of rice stuffing to reduce time and cost for customers, launched the operation of a rice stuffing berth at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal as from October 13, 2010 as follows:
- Yard Area: 6,500 m2
- Berth Length: 143 m, equipped with four specialized conveyor systems, simultaneously handling 02 barges with tonnage of 500 - 700 tons each.
- Commodity: rice, fertilizer ...
- Productivity: 80 tons / hour / conveyor
- Operating time: 7 am – 10pm daily
The new berth is conveniently located next to Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal and nearby depots under the management of Tan Cang Logistics where most empty containers from more than 70 big operators like MAERSK, WANHAI, MSC, CHINA, Evergreen, Hanjin, OOL, MOL, APL are stored. This will create favorable conditions for customers to transfer stuffed containers to Terminal A and Terminal B of Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal for loading.
