On March 10, 2010, the new Inspection Point in Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD has been inaugurated and operated in accordance with the Decision No. 206/QD–TCHQ by the General Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance.Long Binh ICD Inspection Point has the total area of 30,000sqm with high dock inspection sites to allow 100 container trucks or more to assemble at the same time.

Tan Cang Song Than ICDCo., Ltd  was established in 2007 as a subsidiary of Saigon Newport Cooperation. The ICD started its operation in 2001. Total area of nearly 50 hectares situated in central location of Song Than Industrial Zone linking with  large industrial zones and export processing zones is considered as a big advantage of the company.

In April, TCL signed the service contract with Clover Vietnam and Globe-express. TCL has also continue its deployment of the investment projects

Since early 21st century, Saigon Newport Company (now ‘Saigon Newport Corporation’ or ‘SNP’) was fully aware of the vital importance to develop a seaport (deepwater terminal) in Vietnam to well catch up with the growing trend of international containerization across the globe. In response to the State’s master plan on developing terminal systems in Vietnam until 2020, SNP had promptly taken actions to make research and feasibility study and develop Tan Cang – Cai Mep Deepwater Terminal Project in Tan Thanh District, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, the ever first deepwater terminal in Vietnam.
