In June, Tan Cang- Cat Lai accommodated 244 vessels (including 200 container vessels and 44 transshipment vessels) – an increase of 8 vessels to those of May. Terminal A received 104 vessels and Terminal B received 140 Vessels. The throughput of container of June was 221, 023 teus. Net productivity reached 55.4 cont/vh and Portstay one was 47.1 cont/vh. The Maximum net and portstay productivity was 82.4 cont/vh and 72.8 cont/vh respectively (those reached with Vessel Panja Bhum- V.S63). The average of truck around time inside the terminal in June was 0.91 h/cont.
In the first six months, Tan Cang- Cat Lai accommodated 1.372 vessels (including 1.118 container vessels and 254 transshipment vessels) – a year-on-year increase of 142 vessels. Terminal A received 636 vessels and Terminal B received 736 Vessels. The throughput of container of 6 months was 1,225,702 teus. The average net productivity reached 55.24 cont/vh and portstay one was 45.9 cont/vh - an increase of 5.5 cont/vh & 5.4 cont/vh respectively in comparing to those of 2009.. The average of truck -around time inside the terminal was 0.90 h/cont
Tan Cang- Cat Lai has made considerable improvement in term of the service quality. The transportation of containers between Tan Cang- Cat Lai terminal and other SNP’s premises such as Tan Cang- cat Lai deep sea terminal, Tan Cang- Song Than ICD, Tan Cang- Long Binh ICD and the satelite ICDs like Tanamexco, Phuc Long, Transimex ICD has done smoothly. SNP has organized the meetings with the customs and signed the co-operation agreement to create the most convenience for the consignees and shippers in receipt/ delivery of the cargoes at Tan Cang- Cat Lai. The EDI with the shipping lines has been improved. The groups of the solutions to enhance the service quality focused on the enhancement of the services for reefer and empty containers, transportation to serve the inspection work, The customers’ caring centre has been established since April 2010 and works day -around time ( 24 hours a day) to deal with the obstacles or problems of the customers in delivering or receiving the cargoes at the terminal. Especially, the Tan Cang shipping JS company No 2 and Tan Cang- Cypress JS company who are the SNP’s subsidiaries have deployed the barging services to link the Mekong Delta’ s provinces and Cambodia and have the good results initially and created smooth connection to the consignees and shippers of those areas.
