On 17 October 2010, Tan Cang – Cai Mep Container Terminal (TCCT) had solemnly organized the inaugural celebration for launching of new direct service from Vietnam to Europe by Hanjin, ranked 10th among the 100 biggest shipping lines worldwide

On September 2nd 2010, the celebration of awarding “ Vietnam Gold Star 2010” – the most prestigious and desired award for the entrepreneurs was held in Hoa Binh Theatre, Ho Chi Minh city. The most typical companies selected for TOP 10, 100 and 200 Vietnam Gold Star 2010 were honored at the ceremony

Long Binh ICD has been improving its formalities relating to the warehouse and CY services as well as operation, setting the service of the Logistics connection, enlarging the customers’ network

The volume via TCCT in first six months of 2010 reached 130, 196 TEUs- surpassing the annual projected plan. TCCT has received 168 voyages (74 mother vessels & 94 vessels from Cambodia to TCCT for trans-shipment).
The productivity at TCCT has been improved and increased. The average net and port-stay productivity of the Second Quarter was 80cont/vh and 59cont/vh respectively. The increase of the handling productivity has made the shipping lines shorten the port stay time.

In the first six months of 2010, TCL has made year- on- year increase in term of the operation and business results. TCL has gained and surpassed the expected target. The year- on year increase of the turnover was more than 44% , the pre-tax profit increased 51,30 %. The volume handled at Tan Cang and Cat Lai CY, at the barge quays, the volume of CY-Shipside transportation and outernal transportation increased from 20- 35% in comparing to those of the same time last year. TCL has made such achievements thanks to the recovery of the economy, the import/export containers through Cat Laiand Cai Mep all increased sharply.

As from June 01, 2010 the Handbook for Corporate Ethics and Behavior had come into use at Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD. The Handbook is deemed an essential guideline for the company to gradually fetch a right way to proper behaviors which will bring about satisfaction for both internal and external customers and shape academic corporate culture in line with SNP’s orientation, “Standard, Professional, Helpful and Thankful”.

In June, the cargo volume of the warehouses raised by 4,530 tons- an increase of equivalent 22.66% in comparing to those of May. The volume of the bounded warehouse increased 26.35%, those of the domestic and CFS warehouses increased 20.99% and 22.31% respectively. The cargoes at the inspection CY raised slightly- about 0.98 %. The clients of the inspection CY feel satisfied with the service quality here. The area of the warehouse for lease increased 10,000 sqm or 31.25%.
 

On 23rd June 2010, at Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park which is located at Hiep Phuoc Commune, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh city, the land- hand over Ceremony for the development of Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc General Terminal was solemnly organised at the presence of representatives of Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Tan Cang- Hiep Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company (THP), Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) as well as the local leaders from Nha Be District, the management of the South industrial parks and processing zones.

Since May 2010, Tan Cang-Cypress Joint Stock Company (NPC) has deployed its barging routes between Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Cang- Cai Mep Terminal and Cambodia.
